KNOWING CHRIST

John 17:3
“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

What important thing about Jesus that God would want us to perceive?

John 14:6
Jesus said… “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

The WAY…

John 10:9
“I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

Matthew 7:13,14
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

The TRUTH…

John 1:17
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

John 8:31,32
“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The LIFE…

John 1:4
In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.

Romans 5:21
so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness, to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

WHO IS JESUS? TRULY?

In the New Testament of the Bible, a man named Jesus said…

John 10:30
“I and the Father are one.”

John 14:9
Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’ “?

The claim of being God was incredible. Jesus was either crazy, a liar or telling the truth. But then Jesus also said he was TRUTH! The Bible agrees…

Isaiah 7:14
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

John 1:1,2,14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

So, was he man? or God?

Colossians 2:9 NLT
For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.

Colossians 1:19
For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ…

Though Jesus is God, He chose to be totally man for a purpose.

Philippians 2:6-8
Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
