Hello, my name is Johann and I presently reside in Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

I am an incomplete quadriplegic meaning I am mostly paralyzed from the neck down with limited movement. And for the first time, I am venturing into ONLINE SALES.
What would I sell? Well, by God”s grace, I am able to draw digitally and create digital charcoal drawings due to a computer software that tracks my head movements. Coupled with limited thumb functions, a mouse button and onscreen tools, I have been able to produce a little over 250 drawings, a third of which might be marketable. My plan is to delve into the competitive world of the Home Decor industry as an independent supplier of digital art prints made by me, of course. As a starter, I’ve chosen these 4 sketches.

Abandoned Shacks on Stilts [SI-2020-1001] – Back in 2020, a strong typhoon hit the city of Zamboanga, Mindanao. Fishermen and their families who lived over the water were driven away from their homes by strong rain and wind. What was left were damaged shacks. I used a photograph from a local newspaper.
A Gnarled Olive Tree on a Beach [SI-2020-1004] – I love drawing trees. When I found the picture of this beauty, I was so excited that I lost track of the website that it was on. But this drawing was fun to do and turned out to be one of my favorites.
Basketman [PE-2020-1002] – I believe I was using Google Earth, when I came upon a grainy picture of this man carrying his wares to market. It so reminded me of the gypsies of my country back in the 70s transporting tons of baskets from the mountains into Manila in slow moving oxen driven wagons. Of course, I tip my hat to the basketman.
The Boatwreck [SI-2025-1003] – This drawing was one of the latest sketches I made this year. It’s an odd quirk of mine to be attracted to things that are broken-down, rusted, flimsy, ramshackled and just plain worn out. In my artist’s eye, I do not see deterioration but something that can be good and beautiful.
By the way, I’m calling the online store, NECK UP CREATIVES.
